Why

You take a screenshot, then paste it into your AI tool. The image gets uploaded inline, the conversation context blows up, sometimes the session breaks entirely. PathShot saves the capture to your disk and copies the absolute file path to your clipboard. Your AI tool reads the file directly via its Read tool. No upload, no broken sessions, no token bloat.

What it does

Captures the entire scrollable page, not just the visible viewport
Saves to your Downloads folder (or any subfolder you pick)
Drops the absolute file path on your clipboard
Optional: copy the image bytes too, or both at once
Works at any browser zoom level
Sticky elements appear once, no duplicates

How to use

Click the PathShot icon to set your save folder and clipboard mode. Hit Ctrl+Shift+S on any page to capture. Paste the path into Claude Code, Cursor, or any tool that can read files from disk.
